Allen Signs collaborated with the University of Lincoln and Epix Media to enhance the internal signage of the new Lawress Hall development.
The project involved decorating internal windows with custom window graphics that needed to stand out despite the challenges posed by old-fashioned windows and internal wiring finishes.
The project was completed in early 2024. The signage solutions were implemented at Lawress Hall, a new development at the University of Lincoln.
The goal was to create visually striking internal signage that would enhance the aesthetics of the space while overcoming the limitations of the existing window structures.
- Material selection: Allen Signs used frosted etch from Metamark to block out most of the window while allowing light transmission.
- Printing technique: The Gamekeeper design was printed onto optically clear vinyl using gold and black inks.
- Design implementation: The team carefully applied the graphics to ensure they stood out against the challenging window background.
