Project Overview
Allen Signs was proud to support North Kesteven District Council for their latest project at Cranwell Aviation Museum: a temporary exhibition celebrating Women in Air Force Blue and a separate timeline window display highlighting key aviation moments. Both projects required visually striking and engaging presentations tailored to enhance the visitor experience.

The Challenge
Cranwell Aviation Museum required a high-quality, professional exhibition that would effectively tell the story of Women in Air Force Blue. The display needed to be visually impactful while ensuring the information was clear and engaging for visitors.

Separately, the museum wanted a unique window timeline, visible from both inside and outside, that showcased aviation milestones while incorporating artistic elements such as clouds, planes, and figurines.

Our Solution
To meet the museum’s needs, we provided:

Exhibition Panels – We designed, produced, and installed high-quality printed Foamex panels. These were carefully created to an agreed design, ensuring they complemented the museum’s existing aesthetic while enhancing the exhibition experience. The panels provided a clear and professional finish, ensuring durability throughout the exhibition’s duration.

Our Solution
To meet the museum’s needs, we provided:

Timeline Window Art – We produced an engaging aviation timeline as window artwork, using specialist production techniques to ensure a double-sided design. This allowed key moments in aviation history to be seen and appreciated from both inside and outside the museum. To add an extra dimension, we incorporated clouds, planes, and figurines, making the timeline more visually engaging and immersive for visitors.

The Result
The completed exhibition has received positive feedback from museum staff and visitors alike. The Women in Air Force Blue display provides an informative and visually appealing experience, drawing attention to an important piece of aviation history.

The timeline window artwork, as a separate installation, adds a creative and engaging element to the museum’s exterior, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
